Undergraduate Programme

1 Media And Communication Programme

The programme is structured to provide students with a well-rounded foundation in the epistemology, ontology and methodology of media communication studies. Areas of studies include construction, role, operation and impact of media and communication on mankind and humanity. Students will be exposed to and equipped with the necessary skills to handle the appropriate information and communication technologies. The courses are tailored to enable students to function effectively as dynamic, intelligent, responsible and critical communication practitioners. The programme offers an innovative, creative and proactive environment for students to develop their niche for a successful career in media communication.

2 Communication and Information Management Programme

The programme is developed to provide students with an excellent understanding of how information management can be achieved through the use of information communication technology. Using information communication technology as an enabler, students will develop skills necessary for a successful career in information management. The market driven programme is structured to fulfil the rapidly increasing demands for human resources endowed with the relevant communication and information knowledge to serve in a continuously changing environment.


3 Communication And Public Policy Programme

A merging of areas of study in communication, public policy and development studies creates this multidisciplinary programme. Students will undergo an intensive and rigorous programme so as to enable them to take the lead in the formulation, construction and implementing of well-developed public policies. They would be instilled with the relevant knowledge to understand and appreciate the role and efficacy of communication in the process of making and carrying out policies on national development. In a conducive and intellectually stimulating environment, the programme will facilitate students to develop a critical and sensitive mind to succeed in this challenging multidisciplinary field of study.
